Ladies and gentlemen, the Philippines’ entry to the 86th Academy Awards is…..

transit

Here’s the trailer:

I will soon post my write-up about the Philippines’ entry TRANSIT, the other films shortlisted, and the surrounding factors to consider, together with the undeniable politics that went with the selection process.

I didn’t wish to abandon this beloved blog, but I can’t help but do so because of many commitments in life. And in celebration of my 18th birthday (YAY!), I’m going to try to do a comeback 🙂

Best Picture Project WILL CONTINUE 🙂

  1. Better be on the top 5! otherwise – such a waste not having “thy womb” as our entry. Thy Womb since it has been exposed to international competitions and most likely within the radar of the judges of Oscar. Sa tagal nang nakaupo sa pwesto sina Peque, meron na ba silang napili na nakapasa sa Oscars? Walaaaa! It’s about time na palitan na sila dahil puro politics ang pinapairal nila….mga corrupt! Why not submit all 3 great films includes “thy womb and OJT? let the Oscar decide.

    • Hi! According to the rules of the Oscars, a country can only submit ONE film that’s why there is a committee to chose what film will be submitted. Of course, as much as we would want to submit as many great films as possible, it’s not possible under the Oscars’ rules.
